She was spayed 9 days ago with stiches inside her and just glue on the outside. I have been told that if they can go outside they can have a bath. But I worry about the water and soap becoming irrating to her.

You should never have to bathe a cat. Cats bathe themselves.

:)

They are very clean animals.

Good luck.

Most vets say wait 10 days. As long as the incision looks good and there is no discharge she can get a bath. Just use a mild cat shampoo. Most cats are good at cleaning themselves and really seldom need a bath. Most cats do not like water you know.....

Is your cat dirty??? If you have to bathe her, wait at least 2 weeks from the time of spay so you don't cause any irritation or infection. Use a mild cat shampoo and rinse really well.Double check with your vet if you're in doubt.

Please keep the cat inside! It's just safer that way

I would wait about 2 weeks following the surgery before bathing your cat. This will ensure that the incision is healed. Most cats do not needs baths anyway unless they get into something but , if you feel the need to bathe her GOOD LUCK!!

I would wait a full month for the incision to completely heal and for the kitty to get completely over the stress of being at the vets and operated on, etc. You may be tempting fate if you insist on bathing her right now. I expect her immune system will not be up to par just yet. Just wipe her down if she seems to need a clean-up.

i'm no longer able to stand all those solutions that are like, you're no longer meant to bathe CATS. the sole time I bathed my cat became into while he became into sprayed some years in the past. My cat had the skunk's spray dripping off his whiskers. you are able to no longer in basic terms leave a cat to bathe himself while he's that terrified. He could no longer see. as quickly as you are able to bathe the cat, which i would not with sutures, bathe the cat in entire milk. i attempted plenty (tomato juice would not artwork!) and ultimately chanced on something on line that mentioned entire milk isn't in basic terms secure and yummy for the cat to lick off, however the enzymes in the milk take in the fragrance and make the cat scent plenty extra suited. no longer in basic terms did it artwork with the scent, my cat became into so chuffed in the path of the tub because of the fact he in simple terms licked. The muddle field sucked for a week, even though it became into so nicely worth it. stable success and that i'm hoping the whole homestead isn't skunky. :o)

You can bathe her now. Make sure she is totally dry before she goes back outside. Use a shampoo for animals.

It should be fine to give her a bath now. Just be careful around the spot on her belly.....
