Hi Blackie, I lost my mom,and i take care of my dad he is going to be 80 this year. He has dementia and i make sure he has is check-ups and lab test done regularly. He took care of me all those years while growing-up,now it's my turn to take care of him. Besides that i love my dad and don't want anything to happen to him. A Friend.

My parents are still in their 50's. My mom gets regular check ups because she has a thyroid problem that she needs to have blood work done for. Other than that, no, they don't go to the doctor unless they don't feel good. Which rarely happens.

My dad is 76 never seen a doctor healthy as a horse still working for himself ,and plays golf 2 times per week every week , and drives faster then a nascar driver , and loves Burger King ,
My mom is 67 never seen a doctor either she is also self employed , still working ,and spends all of her time out in her yard planting flowers everywhere , pruning them , water them by hand , and she will insists she does the grass cutting with a push mower ( 1.5 acres)
Neither of them want feel they need a doctor to tell them something is wrong , nor do they want to take pills ,they say that they know if they go to a doctor he will find something for them to take ,they say if they die they die ,but there is not going to be a doctor killing them with medications , they refuse any medical attention ,and even had a no resuscitation order on file at the hospital .. which means no kind of life support to include CPR ...
I don't say I completely agree with them , but I will respect their stubborn *ss wishes ...ha ha
