being whisked away to a nice hotel, walking into the room and rose petals scattered over the bed, satin bedding, and a nice outfit from ann summers waiting in the en suite bathroom for me to get changed into, then my partner giving me the time of my life,oh yes, with do not disturb sign on the door.then he gets down on one knee and proposes, surrounded by roses! lush

I though the way my colleague did it was ideal. He and his now fiance have this bench where they sat and watched the sunset on their first date, and they have been back there a few times. One of their favorite spots basically. He took her there and asked him to marry him as the sun set.
I don't think it really matter where or how in the end if you love each other. But I though that sounded really romantic. I can just picture them sitting there when they're 80. I think it's simple but a very special place to the 2 of them which makes it perfect.

I came home from work one saturday afternoon and the house was really quiet, I went into the kitchen and there was a bunch of flowers, a box of chocolates, a bottle of perfume, a card and a small box sitting on the table, I opened the card first and it said 'mummy will you marry daddy', I started crying and my son and boyfriend came down the stairs and of course I said yes, what made it even sweeter was my son had just started calling my boyfriend 'daddy' (he's not his biological daddy) and I just thought it was so nice of my boyfriend to include my son in the proposal, I wouldn't of wanted it any other way

One that shows you went to a lot of thought and trouble to make it romantic....We have a friend who planned the whole thing ahead and got a lot of people involved to make his proposal romantic.....his fiance got a note to be ready to take a trip....the taxi showed up at her door and drove her to the airport...then she was given the flight and tickets....flew to San Francisco...was met with another note to go to a Hotel....relax until dinnertime....went in and found a dress waiting for her...with another note....went to the restaurant and was met with a reserved table, roses, etc....and her boyfriend waiting for her.....then during dinner the waiter had been told to put the ring in her glass of champagne.....it was the most romantic evening of her life.....
all along the way he had arranged people to move it along, one step at a time.....a proposal she would never forget.
You see? It takes thought, time and effort....not necessarily a lot of money....could be on the beach, on a billboard on a TV show....etc....just saw one surprised the girl on the show they were both on.....

My husband proposed to me at a pre Christmas charity experience in front of a room full of human beings! we've been married over 2 years now and mutually over 5. Any truthful and imaginitive theory will do. I keep in mind feeling like we've been the only 2 human beings in that room.

there is an old movie theater in town that i jog by every night (weather permitting) i always thought it would be so romantic to read it on that sign when i went out for my jog, and to have my man waiting below the marquee with a rind and some beautiful words.
i know it will never happen, my guy is not a romantic, but a girl can dream

My ideal proposal would be in bed while we are about to have sex.I can't figure out where he could have the ring but I definitely need one in the picture!Maybe it's next to where we lie and he takes it and puts it on my finger and then he makes love to me.It doesn't have to be a huge thing you see.Good Luck! Thanks for making me think how I want it to be!

Well I would have to say that if you trully know her then you know how she wants it to be, She may never have told you in her words. Think of her and whats she is all about and I believe you will find the perfect way to ask. Every woman is diff so No one can really answer this for you.

Hi there Theresa M. I would love to go on a romantic picnic somewhere secluded in the countryside. As we were dining on a luxury hamper, I would love a plane to fly by with my name on it and will you marry me? Followed by a scenic drive to a luxury hotel for the weekend.
