I was told that during the hippie revolution where bra burning was the playstation of the day, that breast cancer for women was at an all time low. What have you heard.

I dont believe that. THO a woman needs a good fitting bra. IF they get one too small it can cause damage.

Must have been a guy told that ! lol...

No seriously, breast cancer statistics started increasing with better diagnosis and the application of mammograms for people at risk. No diagnosis = no stats ...

You should be very careful in interpreting any statistical results. For example you could compare the stats of third world countries and rich countries on malaria and prostate cancer, and seeing more malaria and less prostate cancer in third world countries, conclude that malaria protects against prostate cancer... Which is kind of absurd because when a kid dies of malaria, he sure can't grow old enough to develop prostate cancer...

Serious stats are always followed by explicative notes which explain the conclusion of the people that did them.

You mean breast cancer detection was at an all time low. How many bra burning hippie women do you think went for their mammograms?

No I've never heard of that. I think now with all the technology to diagnose it that's why it's so visibly present. Before it would just get away on the person and was out of control before they could be helped.
