I have a 5mm Benjamin I use for vermin, and a Gamo .177 with telescopic sight (1,000 ft/sec) for target practice in the backyard.

I set up a pellet range in my basement. I use the same rests that I use with my centerfire rifle. I shoot at paper targets in a pellet trap. It's a good way for me to practice marksmanship fundamentals without burning up alot of expensive powder and bullets. And it's fun.

In my backyard, I used to stand up those old little plastic army men in a row and then go back and lie down at about 20 - 30 feet away and shoot 'em down, (one at a time)!

I have one! My favorite thing to do is pop squirrels off my bird feeder. It isn't powerful enough to do any damage as they always come back.
I used to hit stray cats that wandered into my yard, until my 'Oreo' kitten moved in with us unexpectedly few months back. (she has a b b under the skin in one of her back legs). oops
Karma is a *****.
