Why does using cheats on the SIMS cause my computer to crash?

This has happened 3 times I have lost one computer and the second has been fixed twice. I'm getting a new laptop and I guess I'm no tloading it at all. The temptation is too great.

Cheating should effect your computer system in NO way. I highly suggest you are either:

Using a fake or damaged copy of the game
Are using incorrect cheats
Have installed the game incorrectly

I use cheats for sims all the time and it never does that, is there something wrong with the game?
