symptons: sore throat, off and ongoing headaches, chills, and neck cramps

no fever yet

i was fine yesterday, and this morning, but the symptons appeared throughout the day getting more and more apparent and painful

Check your throat for white spots. White spots on the tonsils and throat are indicative of strep but not always present. The only way to treat strep is by antibiotics so you will need to see your doctor. Untreated it can cause all sorts of other problems such as impetigo, scarlet fever, meningitis etc.

sounds like strep. You need to go to the doctor to have a test for sure. Cant afford the doctor? Go to your local hospital er and have the test done. At billing tell them you want to apply for assistance for paying your bill, this will get you a reduced bill or no bill then you can make a payment plan finally ask the doctor to give you a med that is on walmarts list of 4$ meds and your golden

it could be strep but it sounds to me like a sinus infection....i just got overone and i had the same symptoms no fever but headaches sore throat, and neck pain... I had to go on antibiotics to get over it....

well, you know you have strep when you can't swallow anymore because your throat hurts so bad. Last time I had strep (I've had it twice in the last year) I was at work and I didn't eat anything all day (eating hurts) and I didn't drink anything (even swallowing water was unmanageable) and I nearly passed out.

I knew someone who had strep and he did nothing about it and it turned into 'meningitis' so please do NOT hesitate to see a physician. The meningitis nearly killed him.
