I'm not sure what you mean by rejecting 'miracles'. Do you mean the miracles written of in the bible? Or do you mean the miracles that are being pushed today - like just pray hard enough and your cancer will go away, or your finances will miraculously solve their own problems?
I'm a Christian - I believe the bible. I believe that miracles were and are possible. But, I do not believe the things many do. I have a severely disabled child, he is now 8yo, was not supposed to live past 2yrs. That, in itself, I consider miraculous. But, I have family members that insist that we can pray away his terminal diagnosis. THAT I don't believe. I've had many instances of "God things"... where I didn't know how I was going to pay my mortgage, and that unexpected money came in, allowing me to do so. Or when we were new in town, no family, few friends, and both cars died within a week of each other. 2 days later, my husband met a guy at work, a customer. They started talking, and this man GAVE us a car, not knowing a thing about us. Later that night, this guy got an email from his mom, a friend of my aunt's, asking him to keep an eye out for us, we might need help, if there was anything he could do to help us.
I call them "God things", because they're not really miracles - I believe they're God using us to help each other. I don't believe the sick people who go up to the front of the church, have hands laid on them, and their cancer/diabetes/paralysis is cured. Sorry, I just don't.
I don't believe that makes you or I any less of a Christian though!!!

How do you read the Bible? Do you read it as a piece of literature, and try to analyze it? Or do you read it as the Word of God? Do you read it how it is written?
The Word of God is the sword of the Spirit. It is so powerful.
The entire book is the 'message'. Including the bits about miracles.
You have no idea what you're missing out on.
Do you have any pain in your body?
God can heal it.
Are your finances impossible?
Mine are.
And you know what?
It's only by God's grace that he has worked a miracle, and I am slowly climbing out of debt WITH NO MONEY TO PAY OFF MY DEBTS.
Our God is a miraculous God. All the way through the Bible, God does awesome things that can only be called miraculous.
The Red Sea.
The plagues in Egypt.
Abraham & Sarah having a son.
When the children of Israel were roaming the desert for 40 years, how did their clothes last? Their shoes? How did they eat?
Daniel in the lion's den.
Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego in the fiery furnace.
Jesus feeding 5000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish.
Oh, wait, was that only in the Bible?
NO!!!
God says "I am the same yesterday, today, and forever."
Does God lie?
No.
Think about it.

If you reject the miracles then you deny an active God who acts through Providence. When you do that you deny Christ, which is really one large act of Divine Providence. When you do that you reject your redemption from sin. Besides, Jesus frequently told people that if they do not believe him, at least believe in the miracles.
John 10:38 - But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I in the Father"

The divine message of Christianity isn't just to "love one another". Lots of religions teach that.
What makes Christianity unique is that it also says we are to love the Lord God (the God who revealed Himself to Moses, Abraham, etc.) with all of our heart, all of our soul, all of our mind, all of our strength. AND it says that the only - only - way we can do that is to go through a person - the Lord Jesus Christ.
And if you reject the miracles of Jesus then you must reject the greatest miracle - His bodily resurrection and his promised return. And if you reject His resurrection and His promised return, then you reject the whole way of salvation as revealed in scripture.
and if you reject the way of salvation -through His blood with faith in His resurrection - you ain't a full-fledged Christian!
so, the answer is "no".
god bless

God is God whether people acknowledge what the Bible says or not. God is not a bargaining God as to where He has to bait and switch anyone. Either you are in alignment with the Bible or you are not. There is more to being on of His chosen than loving each other. While, as Jesus stated, it is the first of all commandments, you have to accept the full package. Not just what we want to. You cannot weaken the 'impact' of Jesus. He is Who He is all by Himself. He says in the Word of God that if we just lift Him up, He is the one who will do the drawing. May God Bless U.

its not only about the message. other religions, such as buddism and hiduism, also teach to love one another. so that being said, if you were to tell me that you are a christian simply because you follow the doctrine of "love one another", than i would say "no, you aren't". to be a full-fledged Christian you must also believe in the works and miracles performed by Jesus Christ. but you are on the right path. but then again, who am i to judge other people....

still with the 'ethnic Christians' questions...just read what Christ taught, and what He did. either He was the Son of Man and the savior of mankind, or He wasn't...make up your mind. if you believe what He said, how is it that you disbelieve what He did? a Christian is a follower of Christ...Christ Himself stated publicly that He did these things, He stated publicly that He was the Savior...are you calling Him a liar? or are you just picking and choosing which parts of His message you feel comfortable with-the ones that require nothing of you but to have good feelings towards the human race in general? being a Christian, walking the Christian walk, is not easy, and it's not all about sitting around singing 'kumbayah'...people have died horrible deaths and suffered greatly in service to Him...the bottom line is, either you're a Christian (a follower of Christ) or you're something else...maybe a 'christian' (a sunday pew sitter)...it's up to you

There is no such thing as an 'ethnic' Christian.Ethnicity has nothing to do with what beliefs you have.
Either you believe,or you don't.You are not a Christian, you just like some of the teachings of Jesus.

You believe what you please.
I believe the Word of God.
"And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still dead in your sins."
(I Corinthians 15:17)
"For the Kingdom of God does not consist in words, but in power."
(I Corinthians 4:20)
"...holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; and avoid such men as these."
(II Timothy 3:5)
