There's no specific or any rule how long should a relationship go before you get into marriage. It is all up to you determining whether you can take the risks of being married. You will never fully know a person no matter how short or long your relationship with him/her anyway. Only when you will live together that the natural behaviors come out and that's the time you will learn how to deal with it. It doesn't matter if you wanna marry a person you've just been dating for a week or so, it's your emotional, psychological and financial readiness and stability to get into it.

Wow, this is exactly the question I'd love to have an easy answer to! My opinion is that if the relationship is healthy, happy, loving, and respectful, and both parties want to have each others' company long term, then they should start contemplating marriage. Of course other things should be taken into consideration (such as financial means to support the household, agreement about children, living arrangements, etc). But as long as both parties are willing and able to commit, marriage can only strengthen their relationship. Good luck!

there's no correct answer. Heck my sister met her husband un august and married him in october they are still happily married ... as far as I know with 2 kids. I also know people that have waited 5 or 6 years before it really depends on the person and how ready they are. Me I feel a year to 2 years but if I met the one and I knew she was the one and we both felt the same I wouldn't need to wait a year. It depends on you. I do how ever don't think your financial stability should have a place in everything if you love each other then love is all that matters now having kids on the other hand then you should have finacial stability

It totally depends. Truly! Some people can get by for 10 years and buy a house, start a family and then decide to get married! Backwards yes - happy definately! Don't pressure yourself or your partner as it will cause a divide. Try having a casual conversation with your partner and learn about his thoughts on the subject because he is in the relationship too.

You shouldn't get married unless you're ready, and you feel the person is your best friend. I was raised in a house where my parents hated eachother, I vowed I would never be like that. I waitned until I was ready, met the right girl, dated long enough that I knew without a doubt I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. Divorce was and is not an option.
