I love cooking with olive oil. But I've never deep-fried with it. Thanks for the info.

No, it depends.

Olive oil has flavor, and it's good for certain dishes, but it has a low smoke point (meaning, it gets hot and starts to burn and smoke).

Canola (vegetable) oil is good for general cooking, and doesn't introduce any unusual flavor.

Peanut oil is good for certain things, like frying, and has a high smoke point, so you can get it hotter.

No one oil is "the best", but there are some that are best for your particular application.

I love cooking with olive oil. My dad did too, hence the reason why I use it. Olive oil is very healthy and when made into garlic oil, even more healthy. I have never fried anything with olive oil either.

Although olive oil is good for you it it one of the worst oils to cook with at high temperatures as it has a low tolerance for heat. It burns and smokes quickly.

Olive oil is best when you are cooking vegetable dishes.....stir fry, broccoli, etc......the best oil to use if you are frying something would be vegetable oil.

It depends on what you are doing.

Olive oil is terrible for deep frying, it has a low smoke point.

Depends on what your doing with it.I personally don't care for it. I'd rather canola oil for everything.
