Any recommendations on a good cabernet savignon? Priced around $15? I love Trefethen and Plump Jack, but want to find a cheaper one for everyday occasions (or night).

The best "cheap" cab I've had in awhile is the Casillero del Diablo Cabernet (by concha y toro). It's under $10, but drinks better than some $30 cabs I've had. Some costcos, trader joe's, and grocery stores carry it. If you don't see it, talk with the wine person at a wine shop or grocery store to see if they can order it for you. It's worth it.

The next one I'd recommend would be Amberhill Cab. It's also under $10. And while it's not overly complex, it's incredibly drinkable for the price.

Also, have you tried some table wines or blends? In that price range, there are a few out there I'd try.

Hedges CMS
Six Prong Red
House Red

Also, Syrahs and Shirazes can be great deals in that price range. The 3 I'd do (and actually have) are

Cycles Gladiator Syrah
Montes Alpha Syrah
Shotfire Ridge Shiraz (Barossa)

Good luck and I hope this helped!

Good question. Cab is my fav, and I'm cheap so I like to find a good buy , lol. So far in 04 vintage, not much luck.2003 was a very good year. Here's one for @ 15-20 depending on where (and if) you can still get it. They only make Cab & Syrah & Zin.
Mettler Cabernet Sauvignon 2002

Kendal Jackson makes a very good Cab for about $10 a bottle. You could also try to look for Fat Bastard, they make an exceptional Shiraz and I beilive they also produce Merlot and Cabernet. Good luck!
