I would think there would be no difference in either parent raising children. If the judge gave him custody he felt he was the better parent. Not to say that judges make mistakes, but that goes for women or men. As long as a child is loved and given guidance they will grow to be loving adults.

I love to see and hear about single fathers. It shows that there are men out there that truly care for their children. The only thing I suggest is that the guys with daughters invest in a beautician or a really good friend or family member that will comb her hair. Sorry to say it but men sometimes do not have a clue on doing a lil girls hair.

I think its great that single fathers take on the responsibility of being a single father, there isn't many out there. hell there isn't enough out there, that are even willing to take care of the ones they don't have full time...

I know this doesn't sound PC, but I think I have more respect for single fathers than I do for single mothers. I think it is just because I am a male and I can picture myself trying to raise a teenage girl by myself and it just is beyond me. Single fathers who can pull it off are by far the strongest and most stable people I have meant. Plus (again this is not politically correct) I've noticed that children who come from single father homes tend to be a little thicker skinned and are capable to function more efficiently in difficult situations. But that's just one guys opinion.

well, i really hate to say this and sound stereotypical, but the handful of single fathers I have known have kept their kids, well, not well groomed.... and were quite lacking in the cleanliness area. I wouldnt even use their bathroom...

Also, why the kudos for single dads? They have only just begun to do what women have done for many many years but we seem to expect less from them (I don't!)

I don't see much of a difference between them an single mom's. they are supporting there children and taking responsibility. I started dating one about 7 months ago, and now I am pregnant. i am super excited, and think that he is awesome for taking such good care of his little girl that he already has.
