Because they blindly follow whatever some guy in a pulpit says, just like every other organized religion. And the guy above me is right, go elsewhere, they will just report you here.

Firstly, there's a BIG difference between religion and having a relationship with Jesus.
Religion is going to the footy every Saturday.
Religion is getting drunk every Friday night without fail.
Religion is getting stuck in a tradition that stays the same.
Jesus. Do you know how powerful that Name is? As Christians, we are to be like Jesus. How? He was obedient to God's Will, He was ready and willing to do what God wanted, even to the point of death. When Jesus came, he bridged the gap between Father God and us, sinful man. The blood that was shed when Jesus hung on that cross covers our sin, a holy and pure sacrifice, so we can draw near to God.
Read this carefully:
- Jesus died for YOU. Even if there was no-one else on earth, he still would have died just for YOU.
- Jesus loves YOU. He loves you unconditionally. There is nothing you can say or do that will stop Him from loving YOU.
As far as the 'facts' about Jesus, maybe you should ask God to show you who Jesus really is.

There are many Christians that know ALOT about Christ! And the fact that you don't know the difference between Religion and a Relationship makes YOU ignorant. If you knew anything about being a Christian you would know that religion is a bad thing. Those people that you are talking about, that walk in and out of church walking around saying there Christians but really don't know a thing about Christianity and don't know anything about Christ are religious. Christ hated religious people. He said that even if you didn't go to church, if you had a personal relationship with God (that means preying and talking and reading your bible and acting like a Christian) than you are saved.
I hate it when people say things and think they know what there talking about and think there so smart when really there the ones who haven't got the slightest clue of what there talking about. They take a question and turn it into doubt. That makes you ignorant. And a fool.

some things are just beyond human comprehension ; if you can't figure it out , you say that isn't so ; why do you worry so much about what you don't believe?? It is a gift of choice; choose which path , good , evil or indifferent? ; it is like winning the lottery, some spend it wisely and some blow it all; God gave the gift for you and all mankind to choose your own destiny , path in your life here on earth. It is your choice, spend it or use it wisely. You will never get this day , hour, minute again.

by the way, why is it that whenever we see a 'question' including something about Christians being 'ignorant', we can almost always expect to see included a sentence written as if by a 3d grader like 'where you're proof, Christians?'...let me help you...try "where's your proof, Christians"...see? illiteracy is a sad thing...illiteracy and ignorance masquerading as reason is just pathetic...

We know very little about Jesus because the Gospels were written several years after Jesus lived on earth and they weren't written by people who knew him.

Ahhh, yes i must agree
religion isn't rational most of the time
and i must admit that people know MORE about civilizations and certain individuals before jesus's time than they do... about jesus
I don't know.. my "faith" capacity is certainly limited... and I can't just answer every theological question with...."God"
Religions do segregate people, races, etc.

We have a lot of historical data of the life and death and resurrection of Christ outside of the Bible. You cannot deny history.
