In Scotland June and July are the warmest months, in the rest of the UK it's July and August.

As for when it rains the least - there's rain throughout the year but it's generally a bit drier in from about February to June. It varies due to the complicated weather systems that affect the UK - different places have their driest month at different times of the year.

Definately not the winter! Probably in the late spring to early summer. In the summer, its to hot and humid.
