No. It just makes you look a little silly. But if that is what you are going for, have at it.

Of course there are consequences.......silly. ROFL
To start with, you might get what you wish for, and have to always wonder if you really did hurt someone with magic. But that is nothing compared to the other consequences that can't be avoided, regardless of whether or not your spell actually works.
What goes around, comes around, and that means that if you try to control someone against their will, then you will have to suffer the same fate and be controlled against your will.....Karma 101.

Chris

Yes, there are consequences, threefold law and karma being the two most common names for these consequences. And no, there is no way to stop them. Whatever energies you send out will return to you, I'm not going to strictly say 3 times as bad, but still.
An it harm none, do what ye will.

... Yes, a spell can have consequences. If you try to bash someone upside the head with a shovel, will it have consequences? Of course.
There are no ways to stop them. Where would you read something so ridiculous?

Yes...they have consequences. No there is no way to stop all the consequences - you can't totally undo what is done.

Everything has consequences, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, there's no getting around that.

I belive in the three-fold law which basicly says whatever you do good or bad will come back to you three times better or worse depending on your actions so we belive there are consquenses for casting spells both negetive and positive and as far as i know there are know ways to stop them.

whether the magic(k) works or not, there is a change in your self that occurs when you exert your will.
when you say "ways to stop them" do you mean ways to do stuff and not be responsible for it?
If so, I will say no, at least not any that can be gotten from Y!A.
