Gosh, , don't people read the question before they answer it? Baying, barking and hunting are not diseases ... lol.

Some of the common health problems include hypothyroidism, epilepsy, glaucoma, progressive retinal atrophy, cherry eye, beagle dwarfism, hip dysplasia, spinal problems and chronic ear infections. Information on many of these genetic diseases can be found in our article Hereditary Diseases in Dogs. Prospective buyers should ask for the breeding parents Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) test results for hip dysplasia and also the Canine Eye Registry (CERF) recent ophthalmologists report for eye disorders.

They BAY loudly when they bark and when left alone.
It's a very loud lonely sound.

I hope you know the noises these dogs make prior to buying one.
they dig too.
they are scent dogs.

They bay loudly and hate loneliness. Also are crazy for squirels, rabbits..and even opposums! (its happened to my dog)
