does popcorn expire?!?!?!
If so, will it make me sick if I ate it ??

I would say probably safe to eat. I have noticed that if I try to pop a bag that seems old....sometimes it doesn't blow up completely OR some of it burns! But try it and if you don't like it, then throw it out and buy new stuff!

The prepackaged microwavable kind usually has some kind of expiration date for freshness. It also has oils and stuff in the bag that will go bad after awhile. If it's just plain old popcorn that you would put in a hot air popcorn popper (no oils or additives), it's probably okay. Popcorn is cheap, so if you're worried about it, don't eat it. It's not worth getting sick over a couple of bucks.

unpopped popcorn will definitely go stale after a period of time especially if it has been exposed to air and stuff. the microwavable ones that come in butter and other flavors will definitley go rancid after its expiration date.
popped popcorn will taste like styrofoam after a day.
to be on the safe side, better check expiry dates not only for popcorn but all food (especially processed food!) for that matter.
if you ate some already and it has been three days after eating and you are not feeling anything, then most probably you are okay!

I had some really old popcorn on the shelf and I used it. Only half the bag of seeds popped and the flavour was not very fresh either. Still okay, but not great. I did not get sick.

Hello. NO popcorn does not GO OFF. The only thing that happens to OLD popcorn is it goes soft (stale). In many cases, you can put STALE popcorn in the microwave again, or in the oven to make it go CRUNCHY again.
So to answer your question, NO you will not get sick if you eat old popcorn, it will just taste SOFT unless you do what I mentioned. :)

Cooked popcorn does, but the seeds don't as far as I know. And I doubt it will make you sick, but may taste bad.

popcorn doesnt exactly expire. it only gets bad if it is in a bad enviornment. Especially if its moist and hot without popping the bag its BAD.

No, popcorn dose not expire, it will get old, alot of times it won't pop. it wont hurt you. it's safe to eat

every food in this world has its own expired date. do you eat a refrigerated pop corn? or an-expired- pre microwave pop corn?
both are not good. u may get sick if ur stomach can't stand it..

i don't think so but if you already popped the popcorn and left it open it would not be good.
