Jesus was a mortal man with a mortal life. He felt pain, sickness, abuse, love, anger, etc., all the things that we feel. But He was also God in human form. He left heaven to become a mortal man, to meet man on his own level so that we could better understand the Gospel. By His being a mortal we can relate to him better. There is nothing that could or will invalidate His teachings. God knows us better than we know ourselves and He knew what the world needed to turn it around. The world has never been the same since Jesus walked the earth. Praise God!

Yes, it would invalidate his teachings.

Jesus claimed to be God.

Either his claim was true or it was not-true. There is no other possibility.

If his claim was not true, then he either knew it wasn't true, or he did not know it wasn't true.

If he knew it wasn't true then he was a liar and all his teachings would have to be viewed under that light.

It would also mean that he was a demon because he promised people everlasting life knowing full well he couldn't deliver.

It would also mean that he was a fool because he died for that claim.

If Jesus did not know his claim was false then he was a madman, crazy beyond belief, a raving lunatic.

Jesus was not a "good teacher". He didn't leave that possibility open to us.

It would turn Him into a liar or a lunatic.
Of course, there is no evidence that they have found His body. The current hoo-haa is highly dismissive of the actual evidence.Even that archaeologist who excavated the area said that it was not Jesus and his family.
Bar-Ilan University Prof. Amos Kloner, the Jerusalem District archeologist who
officially oversaw the work at the tomb in 1980 and has published detailed findings on its contents, on Saturday night dismissed the claims. "It makes a great story for a TV film," he told The Jerusalem Post. "But it's impossible. It's nonsense.Jesus son of Joseph inscriptions had been found on several other ossuaries over the years."
"There is no likelihood that Jesus and his relatives had a family tomb," Kloner said. "They were a Galilee family with no ties in Jerusalem. The Talpiot tomb belonged to a middle-class family from the 1st century CE."

Before I can honestly answer your question, I have to have you understand that Jesus did come here as a man, lived as a man, and yet, He is still Jesus. If He had come here as the Son of God, then our sins would not have been forgiven like they are today. The first man, Adam, sinned. That is why we have a sinful nature. So it had to be another man, Jesus, who would have to live a sinless life in order that the damage would/could be undone that Adam did. May God Bless U.

This a complex answer because Jesus was not just a man, or just God... he was BOTH. And this does not mean he was fifty percent God and fifty percent man... he was one hundred percent God and one hundred percent man. Throughout the scriptures he refers to himself as both the son of man and the son of God. If he was not a man at all, then the whole structure of the cross falls apart... if he was not God the structure of the cross falls apart.
Man in his arrogance always thinks to assume he can understand all the concepts of the universe... or that the universe is only comprised of what little man can see of it. Just because this is hard to think about, and impossible to understand (200%?), who are we to think it could not be so?

I don't think it would invalidate his teachings. He taught that we should love each other and harm none. Just like what us Pagans believe.

no, the teachings are good, and should be viewed as lessons. Except for the stuff relating to god and desciples. That just ranks with end of the world stuff.
