I recently got a job application at sonic, and i am an employee now. They told me that they weren't gonna tell me what i make, because it really just depends on tips... does that mean i don't get paid other than my tips? I am stupid for not asking them as i had the chance >.< but some of you might be able to help me, if you've done this before or so... please help =\

When I worked at Sonic (years ago) we got paid minimum wage but also got tips. Believe it or not, I made pretty good money there for a 16 year old.

well u get paid min. wage which is 5.15 an hour but u also make realy really good tips.. well depending on the area and type of enviornment your working at.. cause some areas u get bad tips.. but i worked at 2 sonics and starting a new one soon i made up too 30-100$ a night! depending on how fast u are at it.. its great money.. i pretty much was making 10-15$ an hour

I would think you would at least get minium wage. That wouldn't be right to only get tips for your wages. Ask another employee away from work, they may not want employees talking about their pay.
