Yes, I just had one today! I peeled the skin off (please be very careful if using peeler and also best to do over plate so apple doesn't fall in sink by accident ;) so that it was much easier on my teeth and jaw, however, most of the fiber is in the skin of a fruit or vegetable ;) I have tmj though, jaw pain from grinding and/or clenching the teeth. (Tmj stands for temperomandibular joint syndrome, btw :) They say 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away'. Apples are full of antioxidants which are supposed to have many health benefits. And we are supposed to consume the fruits and veggies that are brightly colored as they are supposed to have most nutritional value/antioxidants present. I believe that quercetin is a type of antioxidant that is supposed to be found in apples.

I actually take a glucosamine/chondroiton supplement since I have chronic pain, and it contains the quercetin along with bromelain which is found in pineapples. Both are (not medically proven though) found to help with pain and bromelain is supposed to aid in digestion as well.

P.S. And just like someone else mentioned, I really enjoy peanut butter with an apple sometimes. The protein (pb) along with the (complex) carbohydrate helps release the glucose (type of sugar) into the bloodstream slower, keeping one fuller (satiated) longer as opposed to just the apple by itself.

I love apples when they have a great, tasty flavour. I have eaten some apples that were fresh off the store shelf and they had tasted as if they had gone off.

hi. i could say an apple. they are juicy and packed with nutrition C that's great for combating flu. although I additionally like bananas, because of the fact they seem to be a healthful nutrition packed packed with potassium and fibre. Potassium is a great "strategies nutrition" and the fibre keeps me going. from time to time if i'm in a hurry in the morning i will grab a banana because it is going to keep me finished in the time of the completed morning because of the fact it is so severe in fibre. Apples additionally incorporate fibre yet they do no longer keep me as finished as bananas do.
