You can't change your friend, sounds like your friend and I would get along just good, I like that kind of music too.
But I also like country and SOME rap.

But the truth is... maybe your friend just really likes the other stuff... could just be a phase or just who they are.... you should let your friend be/ listen to whatver is best for them
Maybe you can comprise and listen to both of your types of music... thats what friendship is all about... comprimise!

You can't change someones taste in music, thats why its THEIR taste.
i was speaking to a friend, and i was telling him how i can't get over how people can like such crap music. he explained it to me as in, you like a certain type of guy and find them attractive, whereas your friends will find another type of guy attractive. It's just taste, its unexplainable but its yours.
so just leave him alone, anyways heavy metal is better than rap anyday :) so he should be trying to change your taste if anything

If you really are his good friend you would accept him for whatever music that he is interested in. Maybe it is just a phase he is going through. He was your friend before he decided to listen to something different than you so why should this change your friendship.
You can't change someone they have to want to change themself.

dude, i know exactly what you mean. one of my friends was like that. just let your friend run his course, its just a phase. that gay stuff gets old eventually, cause its all the same. just tell him its gay repeatedly, and hell stop liking it.
