I have a Jack Russell Terrier, that sheds like mad, is there any tips on certain foods or suppliments.?

jrt do shed...alot!!!
i used to work at petsmart and we did a treatment called "lo-sheds"
they work AMAZING!!!
if you know of a petsmart go ask for one.
they use a conditioner- leave it on their fur for about 10-15 mintutes, and then blows it off with a dryer.
hair flies everywhere!
its worth the money.
but i dont know of any foods/suppliments for that.
but you can get a brush at the local pet store called a shedding blade.
they work great. and are normally pretty cheap *under 10bucks*

Your Jack is going to shed regardless of anything you waste your money on to help it. Make sure he is on a good food. Jacks need to be groomed a lot. The hair needs to be pulled. this is done with a shedding blade and your fingers. It is very time consuming. If your want to try it yourself then google "grooming jack Russell's". If you don't have the time to do it you can always have him clipped down to help with the shedding.

Fish oil supplements, with the fatty acids. It makes the skin and coat healthier and they shed less. They carry some ment for dogs at the vet clinics, but if you get the human kind just check with the vet first to be sure it's OK. My dog thought they were treats after opening the first one so he could taste it. You can also squirt the oil out of the pill onto their food if they don't like chewing the liquid capsules.

Brushing always helps too. ;)

you might have seen it on TV, it is also available in some stores, and I am sure it is in some stores.......the Shed Ender is a comb for dogs and cats that gets rid of dead and loose hair in pets fut........my golden retriever used to shed like mad and we used it on her and she does not shed anymore.
