I don't know where to begin with the place cards. Do I put there name and table number on the place cards? Do I have a bulletin board at the entrance with there names on it? Could someone please help me. As well as programs...Do I need them? If so where can I get a good template.

Yes, your seating cards should read as M______________________ you fill in the name. Then underneath there should be a table ___ and you fill the table number or name. Reception sites usually have these for you to use, so be sure to ask (they are usually free). Then when you give them to the wedding coordinator for your site (usually you deliver them the day before the wedding) they should be either first in table order and then each table is alphabatized or only alphabatized. Your coordinator will tel you which way they prefer them to be.

To get yourself organized with tables there is a free chart on this website http://www.perfectweddingguide.com/baltimore/main.asp, you will have to join the site, but its free to join.

I prefer programs, I find them useful and a nice keepsake. I like to know who everyone is in the wedding as well as what the order of events will be. You can go to your local office store or craft store and pick up blank programs, they arent expensive and print them out from home. The package will have directions on them. Or if you just want to get some pretty paper you can do it free form on the PC, but it will take some time to put it together and get it just right.

Good luck!

forget the place cards; let people sit where they want to sit; they'll move them around anyway so they can.......
