I put the dough in. It comes out bready. SO I leave it in longer and it comes out heavy with oil. I though deep fry was only to be 30 seconds on each side, but then the dough is still raw in the middle. what I am doing wrong?

What exactly are you trying to cook? If you are cooking the dough, the oil should not be heated on high, this causes your recipe to burn or become too oily, so cook your oil on low, but make sure that it's hot or sizzling, and drop your dough in, and your correct, thirty seconds on each side or until golden brown. Also don't use too much oil cause it goes a long way. This veries for different recipies.

no idea what you're making so its hard to tell. Typically you heat the oil between 350-375. The first one you make use as a test. Put it in the oil and flip after a minute. If the oil isn't hot enough for what you're cooking then it absorbs the oil. Too hot and the dough browns and is raw in the middle. Good luck

if you are making fried dough, then you don't have your oil hot enough....it should be at about 375 degrees...drop the dough in and fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side...till it is a deep golden brown and drain on paper towels.....

The oil may be to hot...which will cause the dough to burn on the outside and not cook in the middle.
