I wouldn't ask them that unless it was sort of like a first date or something, or if i'd met them a few times and was interested in getting to know them better.
i'm really bad because i base my opinion on people by what kind of music they like. heheh, i'm big into music and i tend to think more of a person if they like music and like the same sorts of music i do. And i hate when people say "i listen to everything"

You should ask that person what their name is and how was their day. Then you should compliment them on their sense of style. Be suave but relaxed. Then after you think there is a connnection get her number. If she gives you her number then call her the next day don't call her right away because that makes you too desperate give her some time to think about how good you were.

Well you could ask them what they like to do and then ask them what kind of music they like to.

lol dont ask that first.
If ur meeting someone ask how there day has been or how there doing lately.And then start a conversation about something thats going on in the place or the moment ur at.like ask or mention about the food or compliment them.
after the conversation gets going..THEN ask that question .

That's not a bad opening line...especially is you really get into your music and the lyrics, it would help relate where their thoughts go to at times.

i do i ask that question to everybody it dosent matter who they are i think you can learn alot about a persons music even though most people just say i listen to everything
