THE NAME LIDOCAINE IS THE CHEMICAL NAME FOR THE ANESTHETIC. THERE ARE SEVERAL BRAND NAMES THAT ARE MANUFACTURED BY SEVERAL COMPANIES FOR THIS CHEMICAL. THE CO. ABBOTT MANUFACTURES XYLOCAINE, FOR EXAMPLE. THIS PREPARATION IS AVAILABLE WITH OR W/O EPINEPHRINE - A VASOCONTRICTOR.
THERE ARE MANY OTHER ANESTHETIC PREPARATIONS AVAILABLE FOR ORAL SURGICAL PROCEDURES.THEY HAVE DIFFERENT PROPERTIES AND USES.
