call FAFSA at 1-800-4-FED-AID and ask them to help you review your application or go online to www.fafsa.ed.gov. You should have received a SAR or student aid report through mail or email if you applied online and use that to review the information again.

More than likely nothing, even if you dont make 100k if the gov calculates that the TOTAL income your family makes is enough for where you can afford 27k and then aid will kick in than thats why your efc is 27k, it all depends on the number of dependents and income

Your EFC is based off of your/spouse income, and her income if she has any... it's also based off of dependants you have in your household, and even how much you have in savings. To get that sort of EFC, that means it would be you and your daughter with you making $60,000 a year. Double check to make sure you did everything correctly, and if you want, you can get selected for verification and your school can verify everything for you and fix anything that needs to be fixed. I'm the verification specialist at the school I work at, if you have any questions, email me.
