i want to cut my hair soon, i want it to look edgy and rockish i guess, not too over the top though?

as for it to be rather choppy and request that they use a razor to cut it. lots of layers work well, too. medium length hair would probably be the best. when styling it, use mousse on damp hair for volume, the blow dry your hair with your head upside down. use a comb to backcomb your hair at the crown. use wax, clay, mud, or any other styling paste or pomade on the ends of your hair in about half-inch section to give it a really piecy look. i wish i had a picture to give you an idea, but i don't. sorry :( use your imagination, i guess.

also, research what hairstyles work well with your face shape. that will make a HUGE difference on what kind of hairstyle you want!

Well if you have sort of thin hair a short pixie cut might look good. but a short ,maybe up to you shoulders or maybe a bob length layered cut would look better. you should get a darker blond or brown color under your hair. it looks really good and rockerish.
