Wars are usually started over some belief. Personally I think people start wars to benefit themselves, but it sounds better if they use religion as an excuse

If by atheism you mean a war that had nothing to do with religion then ommm try the civil war, korean war, vietnam war, war war I, most of the battles and wars have dealt with land, money, and power - all atheistic values

Good question, had me laughing but suppose all the religious nutters rounded up the atheists and told them to convert or die, would you? Also everyone would be religious and could decide that no one's going to win the war and everyone agrees the only answer is to drop the big one. Ha! Ha! Not long to go now!
