In america, windows vista costs $100.
In the UK, it costs £100.
How does do they work that out, that means the UK market is paying twice as much.

Amazing isnt it - in the US...they pay in $'s for most things - and we pay £'s for the same items...another case of rip off the muppets in Britain...Vista is just XP with a very poor version of Stardock installed... but watch this space ..no doubt Microsoft will have a wee glitch up its sleave which will start making XP go wonky... I downloaded the free Vista RC1 a couple of months ago - and I was not impressed at all.. who knows maybe by charging a couple of hundred quid - they might have added something souper-dee-douper in it..doubt it though...stick with XP for now..

Most things in UK cost more. It may be down to the relative value of a person's earnt pound - we earn more, which reflects in higher prices. So, in effect, we earn the same in value as another country.

'Cos us Brits are mugs !!!!!!

Why buy it yet anyway, the other part of the scam is the good old developers launch their products before they're really ready for use and screw people up with unecessary problems (just look at the amount of problems in these pages!!!)

It's to cover the shipping costs, right?

Not to mention that they have to re-write the product manuals and boxes to handle the language change from American English to British English...
