1.)What do you think about your race? .. What are you proud of? .. not proud of ?.. Im from PERU, i dont like the corruption of the presidents, the wish for money that only destroys us all as a whole. There are many poor people in my country, and that is because our presidents just promise and promise, and never do anything. Politics is fake in my country, and now the president elections are this Sunday! All of the candidats are bad, all of them have been part of the government before. I like the amazing culture, from our ancestors, the Incas, who made impressive structures like the famous Machu Picchu and much more. Peru is a rich country in culture, food, amazing rivers and mountains, all types of animals, plants, and climates. Peru is basically a mix of many cultures due to the migrations that began with the Spanish "conquistadores". From then on many Germans, Romans, French, Chinese, and many different cultures came to Peru. That is why we are called "mestizos" (mixed race) 2.)What are some problems that your society suffer from? As i mentioned, the desire for power is something that corrupts the people. Most of the presidents have stealed money from the country. 3.)If you wish you can go to another country which one would you like to go to? I would go to Japan, because of their amazing culture, technology, etc. Although I wouldnt go now cause im still studying and because of the radioactivity. 4.)What is the most remarkable thing about your culture? The Inca indians (our ancestors) were the most remarkable culture of my country. They developed a lot of systems, they even wrote legends and poems that still exist today, although the authors are unknowned. One example is "Ollantay", a theatrical play about love and a battle between the Inca (governor) and Ollanta (a ruler over only a part of the Inca region) for the Inca´s daughter. 5.)How does music and art effect your culture? Well, music is varies a lot ranging from Marinera, Huayno, and even Cumbia, to Reggaeton which really isnt part of our culture. Typical music would be Huayno, Marinera, Diablada, Zapateo, Negreiro, etc. Each region of Peru has its own culture and music. Mario Vargas Llosa, a novelist, won a Nobel award just last year! He is peruvian! 6.)What part of your country are you from? I am from Lima, Peru. The capital. 7.)Why did you come to the U.S? I only went twice to visit some relatives, they went because my aunt married an American and they went to live there. 8.)What is your full name? Why did your parents select this name for you? Did you have a nickname? Ricardo Brian, my parents selected this name because "Ricardo" (a spanish name) my father´s name. Brian just because it means "strong". I do not wish to give my last name, but it is from Rome if that is what you want to know 9.)What was your favorite thing to do for fun? I like to play the guitar and be on the computer 10.)When and where were you born? september 21; Lima, Peru 11.)Were there any special items in the house that you remember? not really. 12.)What sports are popular in your country? Soccer. Totally popular especially because there is like an eternal fight between two teams: "Alianza Lima" and "Universitario de Deportes". The soccer games between those two teams are usually referred to as "classics". Although my country is not really very good at soccer, compared to others, we still have a great passion for soccer. 13.)What do you miss the most about your country? Nothing, i still live here. 14.)Who did you live with at your house? My parents, im still too young :D 15.)What is your least favorite thing about your country? umm... poberty. Many people find solution in extremist actions like drugs, smoking, prostitution, suicide, terrorism, corruption, fornication, etc. Peru would be a better country if there was eveness in its beauty. But sadly, all governors only worry about LIMA, making it a city with an excess of population. That only causes increase in traffic, decresing property (houses and appartments) space. The regions with poor people are rarely visited by presidents.
