He used to be sooo nice, and I broke up w/ him cuz people were talking trash about us, and we never talked. So, then, he starts saying,"Yeah, I broke up with her, and my friends dared me to go out with her." His friends told me,"Thats not true, he's just mad you broke up with him!" So, I told my new-ex that we could still be friends, but why did he turn around on me and become a jerk and lie to everybody? Why are guys like this? What should I do?

Guys will be like that because i dated this guy for about a year and a half it would have been 2 years march 7th if he had not dumped me he tried to say we could be friend but then started saying thing like yeah she is a whore and my friend dared me to go out with her he wrote my number on the wall at school so most guys do that after you break up

Dear I am truly sorry that you and your boyfriend broke up and that he became a jerk.
It is just because he is hurt and immature he will grow up however. Don,t let it bother you to much just move on find yourself a new love and if he don't find someone else well that is his fault.
I really don't mean to sound unkind are cruel but you can't jepordize your happiness because he want to be a jerk and lie to everyone.
He will get over it sooner are later.

I think all ex's turn out to be jerks... It could be a defense mechanism. or just reality showing its face. It seems like they do that to keep from showing that they were hurt too. Forget him and move on, one of these days when all is forgotten, maybe you can be friends. But I wouldn't worry about it.

i think you should confront him and ask him why hes being an ahole and what he is trying to prove by acting like that. you have to let him know that its not ok to do things like that
