You likely have allergies. Rhinitis at the very least. The fact you have earaches is because the mucus backs up and blocks your ear canals. Don't use colognes firstly, avoid being out on damp moldy days and you have to find out if you're allergic to trees (Spring), grass (summer) or ragweed (Fall). You could be allergic to dust or pets too so keep your bedroom dustfree and carpet free and get rid of any stuffed animals and dust collectors.

Try making your own saline solution with a 1/4 teaspoon salt to 10 oz of water. Suck it up your nasal passage but not so that you choke. Do this 3 times a day for a week and then once daily. See if the doctor will prescribe you Nasacort. It will help the swelling of your nasal passages. Hope these measures help. You could have an infection at this point however and may need antibiotics as well.

I found this recipe at earth clinic
I have tried it because my ears were bugging me and
it sort of worked (I didn't have any hot sauce or celery salt).

Recipe: Add 1 cup tomato juice, 1 tsp chopped fresh garlic, 1/2 tsp of hot sauce, 1 tsp lemon juice, and a pinch or two of celery salt for flavor. Heat ingredients and drink hot.

Welcome to my world! It sort of sounds like you have nonallergic rhinitis and possibly a sinus infection. The sensitivities to smells might be fybromyalgia.
