Rosetta Stone software. Enough said.
PS lol. A good way to learn it is to constantly speak it everyday. When you run into a word you don't know, look it up and bam your vocabulary is bigger! Find someone who is a native in that language and just speak it. Remember practice makes perfect!

Here are some ideas many second language learners don't normally realize.
FIRST: Completely eliminate idioms when you speak. We use a LOT of phrases that are not understood in other countries, and they use ones we don't understand. Examples: Get to first base. Flip the switch. Hitch a ride. Hit the road.
Put yourself in the place of a new learner of English and ask yourself if you would really understand the meaning of 'hit the road' when you heard it, or would you litterally try to 'hit the road'?
Even between England and North America, for example 'knock someone up'. In North America it means get someone pregnant. In England it means knock on their door. So you can see how embarrassing it might be should you stumble on an idiom that means something else.
SECOND: Realize that it is not ALWAYS a one-for-one word exchange when translating. Some languages can express an idea in as little as one word compared to a few, and vice-versa.
Hand in hand with this, understanding that the idea being expressed is what's important, not the way it's said. Just because the sentence wasn't constructed the way we would have said it doesn't make it wrong.
LAST: I cheated. I learnt the worlds easiest language first and now I find I understand English better (my native tongue) and I'm in a better position to learn more languages.
That language was ESPERANTO. It is designed such that you MUST understand sentence structure, which helps to understand other languages. Plus you end up with a multitude of Esperanto friends; oh the burdens we bear.
Oh sorry. I forgot to mention, listen to and read as much as you possibly can, whenever you can. Immersion, immersion, IMMERSION!
Gxis!

By the sound of your name you probably want to be a Special Forces weapons sergeant in the army, cool. That's the only way to go if you want to go special operations.
I'm not sure how old you are or if your in the army already but if you did research you would find out that the army will teach you another language if you pass the DLAB test and your mos requires it. If your wanting to learn another language by yourself in order to impress the army and "be more qualified than the other person", don't waste your time. Here's why, there is no easy way to learn a language and if you want action as a Special Forces A-teammember the only way your going to get it is if you learn Farsi, and this is an especially hard language to learn (even harder by yourself). Your time would be better spent doing physical training and learning everything you can about the qualifications of getting in Special Forces. B/c if your not in the absolute best shape of your life you don't stand a chance (and even then you might not), and what good is a language if you can't get past the physical aspect.
Like I said before the Army will provide the language school (6-12 months at there school in Californa) so don't worry about that.
GOOD LUCK, Army all the way!

The easiest way to learn another language is to go to a country speaking that language. You will listen to the pronunciation of the words better than any classroom, you'll be able to learn how to write it also.Watching TV is a good one too.I'm learning some Arabic words myself,it's difficult but not impossible. My Doctor who is Muslim, told me he learned Spanish faster than English because he went to Spain.So......if you can't move to another country, buy some Arabic movies, that will help a lot.Good Luck!

There is NO EASY WAY to learn a foreign language. It involves a lot of work and dedication. To become a fluent speaker, you need lots and lots of exposure and practice. Total immersion is always the best way, if it is a possibility for you.

Go to a classroom and learn the basics. Then, visit a country and immerse yourself in the culture. It's not easy to do. It takes a lot of hard work and practice. If you want it enough, you can do it.
