My daughter has scalp ring worm again. My husband has it on and off and we think she got it from him, (he is a Marine in the field a lot.)She has been treated with oral Lamisil for a month and after 2 weeks without the meds it re accures again. This has been 4 months of ongoing treatment. We wash everything in hot water, I have checked the pets. What do we do? The poor thing has to have a blood check everytime we start the meds again. Anyone else ever have this problem? Anyone know how to get rid of it for good?

I have contacted Ring Worm at the swimming Pool, the one circular outbreak was on the front of my thigh. The RX of Ciclopirox Cream promptly applied has checked it, and there was no other outbreak.Could you get the Doctor to try this Cream on your daughter? Ciclopirox cream comes in 0.77% and 1.00% It worked great for me. Best wishes for your family.
PS Talk to your Pharmacist, there are OTC creams used for Ring Worm, He will direct you to the foot care section, where you can find anti fungal creams. Ring Worm is a fungal infection.

If you already have ringworm, by now you know it’s a nasty fungus that spreads like wildfire and can infest entire families, sports teams and even whole schools in just days if not treated.
The only cure that really works is pure medicated oil. You put it on before bed and wash it off in the morning. First you'll stop itching almost instantly and you'll stop spreading the fungus right away. Next, you will notice those little red sores dry up and simply fade away. Your ringworm should be gone in 24 hours!

i am sorry to hear that you are dealing with this...best thing i can offer to you is that you get her tp the doctor or even emergency room asap and explain that it continues to come back within two weeks of taking meds......she may have a "nest" in her body and need something much stronger......i would do this asap as you certainly do not want to her to suffer from anything serious or have long term effects.....would ask about something to use that is preventative for when her dad comes home from the field. i hope this is of some help and wish you all the best!! thanks to your husband for all his hard work......i am writing from canada!

get a good brand of tea tree oil ( melaleuca alternifolia) preferably with the following qualities T36C5, pure oil for topical application. this takes only a drop or two in morning and evening - rubbed into the ringworm spots - it should clear it up in a couple of weeks

sometimes it depends also in the food that you eat.as much as possible don't eat salt water fish or seafoods, chicken, eggs,.take more vitamin c,juices fruits.you can also try the fresh alo vera if you have in your backyard take the juice and scrab it on the infected surface only.separate your husband things to her things and your things to her things specially personal things like soap, towels etc.for the best answer consult your dermatologist and if all that i said is right you must give me reward.good luck and i hope that you'll able to solve your problem sooner.
