Here are al the service age limits, if you are prior service, you subtract your military service from the age limit, so if you did 4 years before, and are 38 now, you are considered 34 for re-enlistment requirements.

If you want to go to Iraq you still can if your over 40. I have a friend over there now that's 48 in working for a private contractor driving a truck. The USA is just like every other business out sourcing jobs. Its one reason they can get by with less military personal.

The new cut off age for the US Army is 42.

Cutoff age gfor Active Duty Air Force is 28. AF Reserves is 35, I believe.
