I am going to Canada with the robotics team at my school and I was wondering what do people who travel a lot take in their luggage? I have never left my county before and have never have traveled before. I am going to go for 7 days, what should I take? And what is not allowed on planes.

Depending how long a flight it is, I always have my Ipod with me,and something to read.
For snacks , some candy bar and skittles...
Dont't have any nailclippers in your carry on luaggage..they will take it.
They keep you pretty busy on a plane these days, don't drag to much with you and enjoy the flight

You can take anything you need. Clothes, personal toiletries, shampoo, all that stuff. Your carry-on bag will be much stricter though. No liquids (like water) or gels, that sort of thing. But your checked baggage can contain whatever you need for the trip.

music, cards, make-up, a pair of clothes(just in case of bagage problems), a brush, hair stuff, GUM(it helps your ears not pop on the air plane), your purse/wallet, and pretty much anything else you might want to keep you mind busy. I've flown at least on 5 different airplanes on one trip and its really helps.
