I am making a cake and the recipe calls for 2/3 cup of water. I have measuring cups but all I have is 1/2, 1/3, 1/4 and 1 cup......please help I will be having company over in an hour..........

Use the 1/3 and put two of them in.

All you need to do is use your 1/3 measuring cup and put two 1/3 cups of water into your recipe. 1/3 cup + 1/3 cup = 2/3 cup.

If it is too hard to figure out, fill your cup to the 1/3,empty then fill again to that line and you get 2/3
