thats exactly what happens with me i'm super skinny! The problem is it's really hard for us to gain pounds becuase of our metabolism. So we have to eat more calrories then we consume. Eat eggs, protein shakes, milk, penaut butter, potatoes, carrots, peas. Also if you eat right before you go to bed that helps with gaining pounds.

I'm 5'6" and always weighed around 100 pounds. I've had people say that I must be anorexic or throw up my food, but I too have always ate whatever and however much I wanted. But recently, I've gained a few pounds. Part of it had to do with being on birth control, but I also got my own place and started cooking real hearty meals for myself. I hardly ever eat any junk food anymore. Don't be too hard on yourself. Just think of how many people are envious of you; the people that have just the opposite problem- can't seem to lose weight.

i've always been underweight for my height. I found that when I started exercising regularly I put on weight. It's not how much you eat, it's how you use the extra calories. I started kickboxing and in 3 weeks put on about 6-7 kilos (not sure what that is in pounds). Muscles weigh more. Tone your body and you'll get there eventually. Or you can kick the bums of people who have no idea and make you feel bad by saying you're anorexic!

Hey! Don't complain. They only make fun of you because they wish they could eat as much and still look good. I had the same problem. I hated everyone telling me I was sooo skinny. But after a few years, I some how gained some pounds. Some people did give back some good comments. But guess who didn't? The same people that always told me I was too skinny. They told me I was gaining too many pounds. You can't please all of them.

I used to be made fun of like that too, but it took me..hmm, I guess 4 or 5 years to make a noticeable difference. You should eat a lot more than you need, just eat faster & with the lights dimmed, and if need be, distract yourself a little, like, read while eating. Also, eat before you go to bed... Eat late, and eat more at night. Later on, you may want to do some weight training, to get some muscles. Ask those who know a lot / experienced with lifting weights, so they can tell you what to do to gain as much muscle as possible.
You're gonna have to be more lazy, and it'll seem difficult at first, but eventually you get the hang of it & conserve more energy. Later on, you'll notice that your body isn't as cold as it used to be. Still, to conserve energy, I'd suggest to avoid washing your hands in cold water, and to try to have a jacket handy so you're not too cold, at times.
Remember, muscle weighs more than fat.
But try to eat healthy, and a balanced, nutritious diet. There are books that could help point you in that direction. Just stay away from the fad diet books.
Just persevere, and it'll really pay off! :D
Good luck! We're rooting for you!

I think that is what makes you special and different from others. If you really wanna gain some pounds, take a multivitamin or eat late at night or right before you go to bed. I really think it's your nature, maybe it run in your family. I will say that being skinny is what makes you special and different from others. You should just be the way you are.

I talked to a professional abbout this because i have the same problem and they said to eat foods high in calories but low in fat, try to eat wheat bread and wheat pasta. Do exercises like running and other cardiovascular exercises to build up muscle (don't worry u wont get too muscular). Since u said u eat a lot of junk food u probably have a higher body fat which is unhealthy so the exercises will turn the fat into muscle and u will gain more weight and you will add more inches to your body!
DONT EAT LATE AT NIGHT...u will gain a lot of body fat because you wont be moving around to burn the fat! trust me too much body fat is unhealthy, especially if your young, im real thin and have a real high body fat because of eating late at night and eating junk food, its really hard to get the body fat lower and you will just cause problems for yourself when you are older.

First, try not to take stock in what others say about you. I am naturally slender also.some of us gain w/age and some never do.consider protein shakes or multivitamins to boost your appetite. but dont go for junkfood-thats just empty calories. try more starches like pasta/potatoes/rice or even toning to gain muscle mass. u can add few pounds this way. eat fruits/nuts that have higher good fat content.(almonds,cashews/avocado)cook with heart healthy oils.(olive/canola/peanut)make sure u are not allergic to these first.see a nutritionist if u a really concerned.she will help u formulate a meal plan without jeapordizing ur health or go online for nutritious meal suggestions that pack on pounds but dont lead to obesity.
