No, layering is the BEST thing you can do. A hair stylist can also cut in between the layers with razor scissors to help out even more.

Depends on the cut. Sometimes it will make it appear fuller because the layers make it poofier. Try Matrix amply products if you want to have thicker looking hair.

Layering thin hair gives it texture. Also using good hair products for volume and texturizing really help.
