If they are your dependents, you should be able to take the Hope credit for a child in the first two years of college, or a Lifetime Learning credit after that for a portion of their tuition and fees.

Probably none. I was paying for my daughter's education because she wasn't eligible for grants based upon my income. She was an adult, living on her own, but the government considered her a dependant until age 23 (as far as education was concerned). However, as far as taxes were concerned, I could not claim her or the price of her education on my taxes because she was legally an independant adult. Go figure. But ask a tax expert to be sure.
