My husband suffers with this. The hospital has told him its Reflux disease. This is where bile travels up the trachea and burns. This causes heartburn symptoms plus a very swollen tummy. He was told to cut down on fizzy drinks, coffee, alcohol and spicy foods. This has worked, but he know experiences it when he eats digestive biscuits, pastry etc. He takes Gaviscon for this and it does work. Try this, see if it helps.xx

This happens to me, i think its to do with too much wheat, as in bread biscuits crackers etc.
I try to avoid wheat cos of this, and when i have been taking actimel each morning for a while, i do notice a difference i.e. no bloating.
I know others with the same experience as me, and one guy who has totally ceased stomach bloating by giving up white bread and taking actimel.

Hello Oddball - I also have your problem - I grin and bear it - I put it down to my age 55 - I would love to have a flat stomach but actually I have not had one for years - The older I get I think so what. Dont worry too much but maybe cut down on salt.
Good luck

You're probably eating/drinking something that your stomach is sensitive to and its building up wind. Try taking BUSCOPAN, it's excellent for that sort of thing. Its a treatment for irritable bowel. I find spicy food/coffee/vegetables does that to me and I use buscopan. After about half an hour my stomach starts to go down again.

I have the same and I have had it for years so did my three sisters, Doctor told me to diet I did but the fat belly stayed so Doctor said that it must run In my family. Not unless you check out your family and see if anyone else has it if so it might be yours for keeps.

too many greens and not sufficient carbs to soak up the gas. you're getting too lots acid on your abdomen and specific sitting down so as that your physique won't be in a position to digest it as nicely.
