I suggest putting a dime or nickel sized (depends on the length and weight of your hair) amount of gel in your hands, rub them together and then comb the gel through your hair, first with your fingers then with a comb. This will help you get the gel evenly distributed throughout your hair. Afterwards, put a SMALL amount of gel in your hands and rub them together again. With your head flipped over, scrunch your hair upwards, making sure to get all sections of your hair, not just the bottoms. When you flip your head back upwards, you can style your part the way you'd like.

The key thing is not to use a lot. Your hair will look too crunchy then. Start by using a low control gel, then add a dot to your palm and rub your hands together. Start on the bottom of your hair with your hair flipped over. Then apply everywhere else. Remever you only need a little everywhere because you want your curls/waves to look nice.

What i do is put a bunch of the gel in my hands and then grab handfuls of hair and just scrunch it all up. I end up with a slightly messy wavy look.

First, you want to blow dry at least 50% of the water out of your hair before putting anything in it.
Then, put some gel or mousse in it while continuing to blow dry it,
keeping your hair flipped over most of the time.
Next, keep blow drying until it's either almost dry, or completely dry & add a few finishing touches to it.
It takes a little practice, but you'll soon be able to quickly.

Once your hair is damp, rub the gel across your hands and take your hands and 'squeeze' your hair from top to bottom.

Try reading the little words on the side of the product. They put them on there for a reason. I bet your the reason for the sign over the urinal that says "Dint eat the big white mint"
