In general, when going to something "fancy", should women wear their hair up or down? Does it matter?

I have long hair...to the small of my back. I take care of it, so it's really healthy. When I go out I usually leave it down (in waves or big curls or just straight). But, when going to something fancier should I wear it up? What do you think?

you can do either, but it depends on the top you wear. Like if you're wearing something strappless, definitely wear it down. A halter, pull some of it up and keep the rest down. Spaghetti straps- up. But both can look good for a night out.

both up and down styles can be pretty. if you leave it down, try big curls and maybe a cute clip for decoration..... if you put it up, make it a high ponytail that is all loopy and curly....hope this helps!

I know, You can do like a half up and half down, But make it looser and put it on one of those clips and put dimoinds and sh*t like that, And put soft curls in it it will look BOMB!

it dosen't matter it all depends on the hairstyle that you make when you have it either up or down. Some people say that when you have it up it's more sophisticated.

I think you should wear it up. It doesn't matter that much, but I think hair styles look really sophisticated and stylish up. ;)
