He might be shy, or afraid you will say no. He might even be afraid of ruining the friendship if you say no. You could suggest a date yourself. Say something like, "There is this great movie I've been wanting to see. Would you like to go with me this weekend?" That makes it non-threatening, and you'll find out soon whether he wants to date you or not.
Good luck!

Perhaps he is shy. You sound young, but I think I can still relate. I liked a guy in college and it was obvious that he liked me too. People even told me that he liked me, and I could tell because he was always staring at me and trying to sit next to me when I was studying in the library. Still, I believed that the guy should ask the girl out, so I waited for him to make the first move. One day, he sat across from me in the library, and we were so close to each other that we could have touched feet. Then along came another guy who liked me and who I had gone out with twice. I liked the first guy better. The second guy came along, saw me sitting close to the first guy, and he kissed my cheek. The first guy got up, walked away, and never showed interest in me again. I was crushed. I ended up marrying the second guy, but he was abusive and controlling & I divorced him after 20 years. The first guy? I always wondered what happened to him and if I would have been happy with him. I since met someone else and am engaged to that someone else and couldn't be happier.

My point to this story is that it might not be anything wrong with the boy who likes you. The guy who liked me lacked the self-confidence to make the first move because as someone later told me, he had been hurt by girls before. He was shy and afraid to make the first move. That could be what's going on with the guy you like too. Give him a little encouragement. Stare at him and smile. Walk up to him and start a conversation. If you feel comfortable, ask him out somewhere or ask for his e-mail address or phone number. Sometimes when a guy obviously likes you but does nothing, you have to take the lead because the guy just feels shy and possibly nervous and doesn't want to make a fool of himself. Good luck!!

How do you know if he likes you? Maybe you should asks him out. I personally would not feel comfortable asking a man out because I would rather that he make the first move. Good Luck!!!!!

What makes you think there is something wrong with him? Directly tell him how you feel. Women tend to beat around the bush a lot. Guys aren't always going to pick up your hints.

Haha! That sounds like me. He's shy. Don't worry, you just have to get him to talk to you more often and he'll probably ask you out.
