Good luck to you and every happiness in your future.
There are some websites catering for weddings in spain one of them is in the link below, you fill out an online form with your details and they get back to you with a price, hope you can get fixed up within your budget. The Canary Islands are cheep for flights too!

Mmmmmm 8,000 Euro that's just over £5,300! It would be tight but possibly could be done First thing would be to perhaps see a wedding planner from a recommended travel company as he/she should know the rules of the country and should know all about the paperwork etc. Be definite they do know this as I know there are some better than others. Probably best to get them to arrange the absolute basics because if you involve them in restaurants etc they possibly would arrange really expensive places, the downside to this was you would have to perhaps have your wedding about half way through your holiday and arrange a hotel or venue wherever you go yourself. Friends did this is Cyprus and it worked out really well. I imagine from the planner you could arrange your flights, accommodation, the wedding service, paperwork/fees, flowers. If you could get a price for this you would know where to go from there. I have had a home in Mallorca for almost 30 years and know a little with regard to Spain. You don't say if it is a civil ceremony only or a church? If it is church there is quite a lot involved to come from another country and get married in Spain. So check that type of thing out with your planner, ask questions and you will know from her response if the person really knows what they are talking about. In most European countries weddings are in the evenings, about 5pm Spain and it is usually that all as in drinks are put on the final bill. However, it is just mostly wine that is given and the cost nothing like Britain or Ireland for quite decent stuff. Giving a selection of beer and spirits with mixers can get costly (sorry I am only speaking for Spain here) Problem with April is that prices of holidays rise quite a bit then go down May. This is usually because of Easter and the school holidays in different areas throughout April. Depending on what you want to spend there are often dresses in the shops (UK so hopefully Ireland too) at reduced prices and loads on the internet. If you want to cut corners you don't have to get printed invitations, just ones from the card shops. As others have told you, your guests should pay to get to your wedding. Apart from your bouquets you save quite a lot on things like flowers as they are usually in the church/registrars (don't take my word for that check it out) and in Spain anyway it is not customary to put flowers on the tables in the venue . Lots of restaurants will be glad of the business of 40 people and you could ask them if they would do a 'set menu' for you at a decent price. Hope this has been at least a little helpful? It is only basic guidelines and you know will vary from country to country. Incidentally have you thought about Amalfi in Italy? Absolutely out of this world, especially if you are having it in a church as the cathedral is magnificent and lots of accommodation near hand and although some brides have cars
many walk to the cathedral. Pictures look like something out a fairytale......absolutely fantastic place. Best wishes hope it all works out for you.

Hello my dear first of all congratulations i am getting married myself in january next year and im trying to find a great honeymoon maybe youcan help.

well first of all you should only be paying for yourselfs
your guests are guests .
what i have done is sent the invitations and also sent various numbers of brochures to the guest kindly asking them to pre book .
i actually asked the manager of the hotel in question and asked him to write individual letters to the guests asking them to contact him for information.
it says you care but your not going to rob yourself blind.

second of all
i used to work for the tourist information center
my sole advice would be to contact your local toiurist information center and explain your situation
that is why the local councills pay for tourist information centeres to advice tourist i hope this helps in a some what way and i wish you all the luck in the world with your wedding.
congratulations once a gain.

regards

Look for a wedding planner or travel agent who specializes in Destination Weddings who can recommend a great location that will include everything you need at your price.

guests are supposed to pay their own way down when travelling to a wedding. you would be able to do it for that but dont feel uncomfortable asking the guests to pay for themselves- everyone does it

let them find their own way there and accomodation. it's about you having a wedding and not them getting a free holiday.
congradulations by the way
