I am going to be playing volleyball and I need to be better at spiking. Which muscles are the ones that make us jump and increase how high we jump? Some good exercises for them? And could you describe them instead of giving me a simple name? Please and thank you.

You need to exercise your calves but not just your calves. You can do lunges to work on your upper legs, but you need to work your butt muscles too. If you get bored or right before a game a good thing to do is bounce up and down on your toes.

the muscle you need to work on is your calves. An excersise is this: get on a chair and put your toes at the edge of the seat than tiptoe up and down. so u dont lose your balance hold on to somthing. Also you can buy weights that strap around your ankles.

uh........... the muscles on your legs.....coz the legs do all the work to make you jump.
