Traditional very old fashioned Lancashire Hot Pot should have oysters in it from one recipe I saw, and pastry over the top, or sliced potatoes. Hash has corned beef and is like a thick stew. As far as i know potato pie just has spuds and butter in it. Or is that a butter pie?

I myself would say Hot Pot has sliced potato on the top and sprinkled with Lancashire cheese. Potato pie has Mashed on the top. Hash is like a stew, with cubed boiled potatos in with the veg.

I really like both fruits and fruit and vegetables better, regardless how they look and taste. You desire a little of both.

In the event that it's a fruit they have seeds, otherwise it's a vegetable. And vegetables are usually grown in the ground while fruits are grown in trees.
