if you bred the chihuahua and saw it breed, it is pregnant
be very careful; did you breed with a smaller chihuahua or larger; these dogs have a horribl history of having one or two pups that are almost always too large for the birth canal and therefore the mother almost always needs a C section.
please pay particular attention and take to the vet during the entire pregnancy to determine how many pups, position of pups and size of pups. Also, determine what day labor will start and notify the vet immediately
i would neve try to birth these dogs at home and always take them to a vet during birth because of their dismal history of dead pups
good luck
and then have the dog spayed; why bring more dogs into a world that has 500 dogs for every human being now because of irresponsible people who breed dogs indiscriminately.

To tell if your dog is pregnant, have her examined by a vet. They can do x-rays or ultrasound to count the number of puppies and see how large they are.
Then, after she has the puppies, do as everyone has suggested, and have her spayed! There are too many unwanted dogs in this world. Unless you are breeding championship show dogs, having eyes checked, etc, you should not be breeding them. If you were breeding show dogs, I doubt you would be asking questions on Yahoo Answers, anyway...
