"How can I spoil you?"?

Question

Last night i was talking to a guy that I have known since two years ago, but we have really talked in the beginning of this year, so we were talking on the phone and he goes like "ok , do you have anything to ask me?" and i said no not really, but he eventually gets a question out of me and i said hey! its your turn to ask me a question, and he asks, "how can i spoil you?"
The question caught me off guard and i really didn't know how to answer it, so he says why dont you think about it and tell me tomorrow.
So my question to you all is, what did he mean by this?
I asked him what do you mean, and all he said was "how can i spoil you?"
What is he REALLY asking?

If I am not mistaken, he is interested in you. And he wants to please you in all ways possible. When you talk him, just don't come off like you're materialistic, like 'oh spoil me! Buy me diamonds!' Simply tell him to spoil you by giving you his 100% attention when needed, lend his listening ear, make you smile, comfort you, be honest , make you laugh.. sweet things like that.
He sounds like a really nice guy.

Sounds to me like he wants to take you on a date or something! Tell him you want to go see a film and let him take you there.
If you like this guy it would be a great starting point, however if you don't like him you don't want to lead him on or give him the wrong impression.
The cinema is a very casual place to go so it won't seem too much like a date and more a friendly outing.

I think he's trying to get into your head and see if you like him. Just tell him he can spoil you by.....ummm....wow that is a hard one. Just tell him he can't buy your love and that if he wants a different answer he needs to ask a different question.

i think he wants a relationship and he wants to know what makes you happy how can he spoil you so that you are happy in the relationship and this just doesnt mean gifts
